I am getting a CO2 and wonder if its possible to use it in two tanks. My idea is to put in a three way split adapter coming from the bottle then one tube going to each tank. Has anyone done this and how did it work out?
thanks
Karen

Re: CO2 for 2 tanks?
No problems - but you have to use a splitter intended for CO2 use - they are quite expensive.
För LITE gödning ger alger i växtakvarium.
Vi räknar inte w/l det ska vara w/m².

Oh I thought I could use the same kind that you use for air pumps! Do you know where I can get one? Also can I use a normal check valve for air pumps?
thanks

Re: CO2 for 2 tanks?
I'd say that e-bay is the easiest way to aqquire one.

Don't try the ones for airtubing - it'll inevitably lead to disaster.

Or buy the good stuff from here: http://www.us-aquaristikshop.com/index. ... -verteiler
I use the three-way splitter with night shutoff. Works perfectly. Only slight grumble is the inredibly sensitive needle valves.
Normal Ts and Xs for air would work but would probably become brittle over time due to the CO2 being so sour. The check valves you can forget. Tried 'em with my mash setup but they are invariably leaky and don't hold up for pressure. Hose *clamps* could work but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: CO2 for 2 tanks?
Wow you werent kidding when said they were pricey! Think I will stick to using it in one tank for now! Much easier...maybe later I will split but my aquarium spending is getting out of control lately I guess I still need the check valve and diffuser but they are not so expensive.
Thanks for the help
